**describe your research**
I make AI play out well.
The main way in which I plan to make AI play out well going forward is by a project aiming to establish a new governance/coordination system.
If a better governance/coordination system is established, then people will be able to create rules that will let them to mitigate the risks of artificial intelligence. But that must be done before artificial intelligence is created.
Yes, I know it's difficult and I will probably fail. Still, I believe it's worth trying. I have ideas how to solve all obstacles that I have on my way to reach that goal (except maybe: being able to do that on time, before powerful artificial intelligence get created), and if new obstacles arises, I will find a solution. It's rare that I come across a problem that I can't find a solution to.
Here are the most important things about my plan how to accomplish that:

**how would a grant help you**
Generally, while I'm working on it, I'm living by my savings. Grant would help me to pay my costs of living and have a longer runaway - the time that I have to accomplish my goal until I run away of money (of course, I won't try to accomplish that goal until I run away of money completely because I have to have some money to survive).
%%
I'm considering if I should actually do it or get back to normal job.
If I receive a grant, I will definitely do it.
So, the grant could help by increasing the chances that I will do it.
If I decide that I'll do it, even though I don't receive a grant, then grant will still help by giving me psychological comfort that I don't have to live by my savings.
Other than that, I think people shouldn't just receive funding for something that they are going to do in the future. They should also receive a reward for what they've done or what they're doing. I work on making AI play out well while living by my savings. I don't spend a lot and I don't have a lot (relative to what people in Tech have, or what I would have if I went with "normal job" path). So, you can also give me money as a form of reward, if you want. %%
If you think what I'm doing doesn't make sense, I'd appreciate some feedback or discussion, instead of rejection. Most people (practically everyone) simply reject people, without any form of feedback or discussion. As a result, people are left without knowing how to progress because they don't know why they are rejected or because they are misunderstood. I believe it's very bad, a little feedback or discussion could go very far.

I believe that I most likely deserve a reward. I work on making AI play out well while living by my savings. I don't spend a lot and I don't have a lot (relative to what people in Tech have, or what I would have if I went with "normal job" path). My ideas are non-obvious, but I constantly have to face rejection without any feedback from people or any form of discussion which is frustrating. I would prefer to have a normal job. I don't work on making AI play out well because I like working on it. I do it because it's important. I won't go into the details of my motivation, because I'm not ready.
To be fair, a couple/few years ago, I was doing things before such that if they were more successful, they would increase AI capabilities. Now, I think it could be bad to increase AI capabilities (although I don't have a strong opinion on that) because it's better for humanity to have more time to prepare. However, I didn't have bad intentions when working on that - I simply believed that the government will be able to handle AI, and I didn't realize certain things. I no longer believe that, and I'd rather not do things that contribute to AI capabilities (with certain exceptions).
